Reflections from the past...

 
I stopped by the historic Pine Grove School House this morning on the way to my dad's, hoping to take a photo of the inside...but I couldn't get up high enough...but noticed the old red Thompson Barn reflected in window from across the street...I have many fond memories of helping out Mr. Thompson feed his chickens, milk his cows and mothering his new kittens..a reflection of my past :)

...I saw these colored glass fish hanging in the window of local gallery today and altered them a bit with my photo shop ...fun and whimsical.

Rain drops...

 
sometimes you capture beauty in the simplest things..the rain drops on my patio furniture this morning.

...so I am on my way to Avon this morning and I see a big pile of stuff...as I speed by I catch a glimpse of a huge canvas...so you know I have to turn around and check it out...score...a picture perfect canvas...a few coats of gesso and I am good to go (or paint as the case may be)....had to do my "happy, happy, joy,joy dance" once I got it in the car and sped off!

The corn is as high....

 
as an elephant's eye! Fields of corn fly by my car window every day...and every day they seem to shoot up higher and higher...love how these corn fields look in summer and as they slowly turn to faded stalks as fall approaches..(love the transitions from season to season).

Coming into the light...

 
After a long road,we helped our friend ML finally move into her new place today...it is so sunny and full of light, streaming in from all sides...which is how life should be. Here's to a bright and wonderous new chapter.

If the feet ain't happy....

 
then mama ain't happy....went shopping today at The Walking Company Store and bought a pair of Mephisto sandals...paid alot more than I wanted to ..but you gots to do what you gots to do to keep the feet feelin' like "happy feet"...and supposedly these will do the trick...better!!
