Welcome to my newest blog. My goal is to complete a 365 project even though I am starting a little late this year. I failed in my attempt before...but with a new camera and faster laptop I am renewed in my efforts to post successfully...wish me luck!

The Breakfast Club....

Our Saturday morning Breakfast Club has evolved from once in a while to an every weekend occurance. We meet every weekend at LaSalles in Collinsville..sometimes as few as three, other weeks we may have 8 or 10. It's a revolving door of friends and family. I think it is becoming a tradition :)

It's the little things...

Sometimes you just find little bits of interesting patterns as you walk along the street..like this black and white top to a fire hydrant...nothing out of the ordinary and yet it caught my eye.

Natural Beauty...

Having spent the last 4 days on Martha's Vineyard as a Nor'easter came through...I was in awe of all the natural beauty of the surf at Gay Head. The skies were overcast and full of ever changing clouds, the sea sparkled and the waves crashed against the shores...I loved it!

Feed them with kindness....

Our friend, Mary Lou invited us over to her new home this morning for a thank you breakfast. Traci, Linda and myself have been helping her transition to her new home. She made a culinary feast to repay our kindness...it was our pleasure. Afterwards we helped her hang pictures and took her on a shopping whirlwind thru Home Goods...great day!

TBS Penguin Motif...

Various staff members have been painting murals around our halls this fall in an effort to spruce up the place. Our P.E. teacher has been doing an awesome rendition of our school mascot, the Rockhopper Penguin. I warned him, that I was so impressed he may have to end up on my blog...well here it is!

Positive/Negative...

HeART in Hand Art Camp started it's fall session today at Roaring Brook School...this was my first project with the kids (mostly 1st and 2nd graders). They did a great job with their designs although they kept wondering why I chose to make their pumpkins black and white instead of orange. I just told them you have to think outside the box (or pumpkin) sometimes.
